Venta Care NC: Making progress on non-monetary items

Your negotiating team met with the employer on June 17 and had productive discussions on language changes and housekeeping items. We’re pleased to report that most non-monetary items have been signed off.  

We strengthened the section regarding protected grounds under Human Rights legislation to include gender identity and gender expression, family status, mental disability, and source of income.

Your negotiating team has also made sure underpayments will now be corrected and paid to the employee within three business days upon their request, or it will be paid on the next cheque.

We will meet with Venta Care again after the summer to continue negotiations. Please contact a member of your negotiating team with any questions or concerns.
