Venta Care Centre GSS: We signed off on most non-monetary items

Your negotiating team met with the employer on June 18 to continue bargaining. This was a productive meeting.

We signed off on most of the non-monetary items. We also discussed necessary changes in language (how certain Articles are written) and other small housekeeping items within the collective agreement.  

Key changes include the following:

• Article 6: No Discrimination – Updated the list of protected grounds.
• Article 14: Salaries – Added new language to explain cases of overpayment and underpayment.
• Article 29: Discipline, Suspension, and Discharge – Changed the record of disciplinary action from lasting for 3 years to lasting for 2 years.

Your team will meet with Venta Care Centre again after the summer to continue negotiations. We have not yet set the dates.
