Medicine Hat College: Wage and benefit negotiations begin soon

Your negotiating team met on June 16 to review our employer’s counterproposals.

We reached an agreement on Hours of Work. However, we do not agree with the employer’s proposal on Layoff, Recall, and Abolishment language and we have countered. We are focused on ensuring seniority rights and ensuring we have the same severance rights as our faculty colleagues.  

We are now prepared to begin negotiating wages and benefits. We will exchange proposals with the College at our next meetings.  

Negotiations continue August 18 and 19.
