Your negotiating team met with St. Paul Abilities Network (SPAN) on May 9 for bargaining. We shared our monetary proposal and are waiting for the employer to respond. We do not yet know what they will offer us.
We asked for several changes to improve our working conditions and work/life balance, including better on-call and overtime pay, vacation days, personal wellness days, family illness leave, and pension contributions.
We also want to change how SPAN schedules and distributes shifts for caregivers, as well as get a new flexible spending account to better meet your needs.
Your team is prepared to fight for what we need and deserve from our employer.
Next bargaining dates
Stay tuned for our next meeting dates with SPAN. This is when the employer will let us know what they think of our proposals and make their own offer.
