Revera Riverbend members have a new tentative agreement

Bargaining update for AUPE members working for Revera Riverbend, Local 047 Chapter 042

Sep 29, 2023

We have a tentative agreement

Text only block

Your negotiating team has reached a tentative agreement with Revera. We chose to accept Revera’s final offer in hopes of ending this round of bargaining before our worksite is sold to a new employer, Cogir.

This tentative agreement would bring in wage increases, including increases retroactive to Jan. 1, 2021. The agreement would also increase all shift premiums by $0.25 per hour and let you carry over six days of unused sick leave.

This agreement does not improve everything we focused on in bargaining. However, if we accept this tentative agreement and conclude bargaining now, we can pick up right where we left off with Cogir when the agreement expires at the end of 2023.

Voting on the tentative agreement

Your bargaining committee recommends that member vote in favour of ratifying this agreement. All members have the opportunity to vote in favour or against this tentative agreement. We will vote on Wednesday, October 11, between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Melange Room.

Everyone is welcome to ask questions about the agreement before you vote. Please reach out to your negotiating team before October 11 or ask your questions that day before you vote.

Your negotiating team thanks you for your support and solidarity throughout this round of bargaining.
