Bargaining Update: Edmonton Catholic Schools—Local 071, Chapter 013
AUPE members at Edmonton Catholic Schools will soon be voting on whether or not to accept the tentative agreement that the negotiating team bargained. Here are the details of the vote:
- Location: St. Anthony Meeting Centre (9405 50 St. NW, Edmonton AB, T6B 2T4) in room 3A and 3B on the main floor. Enter via the main (west) or south doors only. There will be signage directing you to the meeting centre from both of those directions. If you require a wheelchair ramp or accessible parking, enter through the main (west) entrance.
- Time: Saturday, September 17, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. For the first hour (1:00 – 2:00 p.m.) your negotiating team will be hosting a question-and-answer session about the contract. You can stay and listen to the whole thing, or just vote and leave if you’ve already made your decision. From 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., we’ll be doing simple drop-in voting.
Your negotiating team is recommending that you vote yes on this agreement. If you want more details about the gains that we will be making, then please read our previous bargaining update from August 22.
Now, it is your turn to decide. Your negotiating team hopes to see you in large numbers on Sept. 17. Don’t forget to talk to your co-workers about it as well!
