Update for Local 047, Chapters 002 & 047

Dec 16, 2022

Progress painstakingly slow; back to the table in the new year

Text only block

Your negotiating team met again with the employer on December 12, 2022, and little progress was made.

The employer is no longer willing to amalgamate all worksites into a single collective agreement; they are going to leave the Lodges as a separate agreement and amalgamate Health and Homecare.

We continue to be frustrated by the employer’s reluctance to bring a fair monetary deal to the table. We are attempting to get your pay in line with others in your same line of work (and, in some cases, working directly across the street from you).

We were unable to sign off on any outstanding items but hope to do so when we return to the table on January 11 and 12, 2023.
