Your Alberta Health Services General Support Services Negotiating Team met Nov. 26, 27 and 28 to prepare for bargaining.
Like thousands of other AUPE members, AHS GSS members will begin bargaining for a new collective agreement in 2024. Your negotiating team is working hard to raise awareness about bargaining and help members engage in the process.
Bargaining requires a lot of strategy, and we are planning well ahead of time to hit the ground running.
We are also conducting a thorough review of our bargaining survey responses. Using your survey responses to create our bargaining proposals will ensure we are fighting to improve what really matters for members.
We know job security and compensation are the most important issues for members. Our current contracting-out language expires March 30, 2024, so negotiating strong job security and appropriate compensation will be among our top priorities.
Keep an eye out for future bargaining updates and be sure to share them with your coworkers. We are all in this together.
