Vote on your tentative agreement May 9 to 11
Your negotiating team met with the employer on May 1 and worked into the evening to reach a tentative agreement for Good Samaritan Society PPDD members.
First, we want to thank you for your patience throughout this process. Your negotiating team knows it’s been a challenging time since our agreement expired in 2018. That’s why it was important for us to focus our efforts on monetary items and bring this process to a conclusion.

Term: July 1, 2018 – March 31, 2024
General Wage Increases
Community Service Worker
- July 1, 2018 – 0%
- July 1, 2019 – 0%
- July 1, 2020 – the temporary COVID wage scale becomes permanent
- July 1, 2021 – 1%
- July 1, 2022 – 0%
- April 1, 2023 – 6%
- Date of ratification – increase Step 6 to $23.00/hour (equal to $1.07)
Team Coordinator
- July 1, 2018 – 0%
- July 1, 2019 – 0%
- July 1, 2020 – 1.5%
- July 1, 2021 – 1%
- July 1, 2022 – 0%
- April 1, 2023 – 6%
Note: Wage increases are effective the first full pay period following the date indicated.
Lump Sums for all members in addition to the General Wage Increases:
- A lump sum of $750 for full time employees which will be pro-rated for part-time and casual employees for hours worked between July 2020 and June 2021;
- A lump sum equal to $1.95 for each hour you worked between Jan. 1, 2023 – March 31, 2023.

We will vote on our tentative agreement online. Voting will open at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9 and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 11. We will send you an online ballot to your personal email address, or if we don’t have an email address, it will be sent via text message.
