On Oct. 9 and 10, your bargaining team met with the employer to continue negotiations.
The employer’s representative changed again, and as a result, they spent much of our time catching up on where we are in bargaining.
Nevertheless, we did make progress with Chartwell on your hours of work, which we’ve continued to prioritize since bargaining began. This issue was of particular concern to Griesbach and Heritage Valley staff whose hours were reduced when Chartwell took over operations in 2018.
The employer will now make moves towards the increased hours you’ve been pushing for, and management will be providing more details in the coming weeks.
