CapitalCare GSS: No real progress made - we must show our power

There was no real progress when your negotiating team met with the employer for two days of bargaining on June 26 and 27.

Instead of coming to the table ready to talk, CapitalCare was disrespectful and dismissive. They even asked us why we were spending so much time discussing our proposals. You gave us a mandate to pursue those proposals. They deserve to be taken seriously.

Their attitude won’t stop us. Your negotiating team is working hard to get a good collective agreement, one that gives us what we need and deserve.  

We need to show CapitalCare that we are united and we are determined.

You can help by continuing to wear red at work to support your negotiating team. Keep your eyes open for events to support bargaining that your chapters will hold over the summer.

Negotiations are scheduled to resume on September 16 and 17.
