AUPE members working at Bethany Nursing Home of Camrose voted to ratify our tentative agreement on Nov. 10.

Your negotiating team would like to thank all of you for your support and solidarity throughout this round of bargaining.

As mentioned in the previous bargaining update, members will receive the following wage increases:

  • Effective April 1, 2022: 1.25% wage increase (retroactive pay)
  • Effective April 1, 2023: 1.25% wage increase (retroactive pay)

General Support Services members will also receive COVID-19 recognition pay. This will be a one-time payment equal to 1% of your basic rate of pay for all the hours you worked between Jan. 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2021.

Members who worked on this year’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Sept. 30) will receive the time and a half pay earned retroactively for working a named holiday.

All retroactive payments and monetary adjustments to the Collective Agreement shall be paid or implemented within 60 calendar days of ratification.
