Focus on creating regular hours as bargaining continues
Your AUPE negotiating team met with the employer on Jan. 19 and 20 to continue bargaining.
We took a positive step during these two days of meetings: CBI showed us a proposal to create regular full-time and part-time positions.
While this is a step forward and shows CBI is listening to our concerns, your team believes there are significant gaps in their proposal. We addressed those concerns in our response, and are looking forward to making more progress in the next round of meetings on Feb. 9, 10, 22, and 23.
We know members are still struggling with irregular hours. If you are not getting enough hours, please fill out this form and send it to your Membership Services Officer, Benjamin Kanee, at [email protected]
Remember to join us for our monthly Q&A meeting to stay informed and ask us your questions.
