This is disappointing news for everyone involved with making AUPE’s annual Labour School a success. However, because of the ongoing pandemic, the decision to cancel Labour School was made, by Provincial Executive, for the safety of AUPE members and staff.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has caused major disruptions to regular union activism, AUPE’s Education department continues to find innovative ways to offer training opportunities for members.

This includes the core online courses, Intro to Your Union and Intro to OHS, as well as a successful webinar series on your Right to Refuse Dangerous Work.

Masks 101 is the next online webinar opportunity for members. Click here to register.

This webinar will be held on:

  • Wednesday, July 15, 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
  • Thursday, July 16, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

Preparation is also underway for an online union orientation toolkit and a possible webinar series on long-term care. AUPE members can continue to take advantage of these learning opportunities despite the restrictions imposed on us by COVID-19.

Thank you for your understanding. We can’t wait until the time comes when it is safe to begin planning the next AUPE Labour School.
