CapitalCare was not prepared for bargaining – wage talks are next
Your team met with CapitalCare on May 13 to continue bargaining.
Unfortunately, it soon became obvious that our employer did not come prepared. We struggled to have any productive conversations. This was especially disappointing because we felt that we could make progress with our remaining non-monetary items.
We feel like we are spinning our wheels, having the same conversations over and over. To date we have met with CapitalCare seven times for bargaining: October 3 and 4, 2024; September 20, 2024; January 23 and 24, 2025; April 11, 2025; and most recently on May 13.
We’ve heard members say just how frustrating this round of bargaining is. We hear you, and believe us, we feel frustrated too. We would make much more progress at the bargaining table if our employer came prepared.
Next meetings are June 4
Your team told CapitalCare that we expect them to be prepared for discussions about our raises and other monetary proposals on June 4, 2025.
Keep wearing red to support us in bargaining, especially when we get back to it on June 4.
Take selfies and group pictures of you and your coworkers wearing red, then email those pictures to [email protected]. We will use those pictures on social media to spread your solidarity.
