Bargaining continued this week with a positive tone and in a collaborative manner. Good progress has been made towards the mutual goal of signing off on all non-monetary proposals during our next bargaining meetings on Oct. 24 and 25.
In our recent meeting, several articles were signed, including Union Membership and Dues Check-Off (Article 9); Union Stewards (Article 10); Attendance (Article 15); Layoff and recall (Article 37); Safety and Health (Article 44). Several other articles have been agreed to in principle and are expected to be signed off during our next meeting date. Your committee expects to begin discussions over monetary items very soon.
