As reported previously, your negotiating team reached a tentative agreement with the employer last month.

A supply chain issue with envelopes has left us exploring alternatives to a mail-in ballot.

Your negotiating team is recommending acceptance of the proposed settlement, the highlights of which are below.

You can download the full Memorandum of Settlement below.

Wage increases

Effective August 1, 2020 Salary Schedule “1” – 0 % increase
Effective August 1, 2021 Salary Schedule “1” – 0 % increase
Effective August 1, 2022 Salary Schedule “1” – 0% increase
Effective May 1, 2023 Salary Schedule – 1.25%
Effective January 1, 2024 Salary Schedule –1.5% plus an additional .5% subject to the following Gain Sharing Formula:

Alberta’s 20-year average (2000-2019) of Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is 2.7%. Provided that the “Average of All Private Forecasts for Alberta’s Real GDP” for 2023 Calendar Year is at or above 2.7% as of February of 2024, then an additional 0.5% will be added to wages retroactively effective January 1, 2024 for the 2023-24 Fiscal Year.

On the non-monetary side, we achieved a Letter of Understanding to deal with workload issues that we hope will develop into a meaningful process to deal with those concerns.

Town Hall Meeting

Members are invited to attend a town hall meeting on Wednesday, August 17th at 7:00 p.m. where your negotiating team will be available to answer any questions you may have prior to casting your vote.
