We’re living in an increasingly digital world and AUPE has a new website to make getting involved with your union even more convenient and empowering.

It’s more than just a new website. The new AUPE.org is a digital platform designed to be easy to navigate and with the most important information front and centre, like member benefits and the Fightback campaign. Local Chairs are also able to use the platform’s communications tools to connect with their Local members and share bargaining updates and breaking news.

The digital platform really opens up once members create their own personal AUPE.org profile, which can be done by clicking “Sign in.” When members sign in, the digital platform creates a personal profile with member-exclusive content, including quick links to your collective agreement and union news that is important to you.

There’s never been a better time to sign up. Thanks to generous donations from Johnson Insurance, The Co-Operators Group Insurance and the Personal Group Insurance, AUPE members can win $1,000 VISA gift cards and $500 VISA gift cards just by creating an AUPE.org account. And thanks to Leibel Insurance Group, members even have a chance to win a 7th Generation Apple iPad or 4 tickets to either an Edmonton Eskimos or Calgary Stampeders game.

Already created your account? Great! You’re automatically entered into the contest. Draws for the gift cards will take place in February and May. The earlier you enter, the better, because that means you have more chances to win.

You will need your six-digit AUPE Member ID number to create your account. If you do not know what your Member ID number is, you can contact our Member Resource Centre at 1-800-232-7284 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Excited? There’s more! This is just Phase One of the new digital platform. More phases – and more contests! – will be rolled out in the coming months.

These new phases will come with even more features that will enhance your collective experience as workers who fight to make your workplace better and protect Alberta’s public services.
