Swan Evergreen: A mediator has been assigned

Update for Local 048 Chapter 053, Swan Evergreen

Feb 21, 2023

Text only block

Your negotiation team has applied for informal mediation and a mediator has been assigned.

Due to a key member of the employer's committee experiencing a significant health issue, we are working to schedule meeting dates to move the process forward.

Your negotiation team has been consistent with our goals at the table as you are some of the lowest paid workers in Alberta. Our proposal is to improve your wages, sick time, differentials and other improvements to align with the rest of the province.

We also want to let you know that your brothers and sisters in Whitehorn Village are further along in the process at enhanced mediation. They are hoping to receive favourable mediator recommendations by the end of March.

These recommendations will play a key part in where we end up as we have the same mediator assigned for our first contract.

Your negotiation team thanks you immensely for your patience while we navigate this battle.

If you have any questions or feedback about this bargaining update, please contact a member of your negotiating team.
