Bargaining Update: Strathcona County—Local 118, Chapter 009, All Staff
Your negotiating team at Strathcona County is holding our monthly union Q and A, and we’re inviting all of our co-workers to attend.
The meeting will take place on June 12 at 3:00p.m. and will be held over Zoom. The link and details on how to join are at the bottom of this update.
We’re holding this meeting because we want to keep you informed about the status of our negotiations and provide a forum for members to ask any questions you may have. You’ve told us that you want to be kept in the loop, and your negotiating team wants to make sure that we’re providing you with all the information possible so that we can build the solidarity we need to achieve a fair collective agreement.
So join the meeting on Sunday, June 12 — and tell your co-workers about it as well! The more people attend, the stronger we will be, so it’s important that we keep each other involved in this process. Just remember, don’t have union conversations on employer-paid time.
We all want this round of bargaining to finish soon — and to finish with a fair contract. To do that, we all need to work together, and stand in solidarity. Meeting like this one will help us get on the same page and build that solidarity.
