ONLINE pension information sessions are coming this fall for AUPE members who belong to the Local Authorities Pension Plan (LAPP).
Pensions are important to AUPE members and our families. We’ve had to fight for our pensions in the past, and information sessions like these help us make the most of them.
These sessions are free, and you can receive paid time off for the duration of your session. No other expenses will be covered.
There are three different kinds of sessions:

• Buybacks
• Termination, Death, and Disability

Buybacks Sessions

Buybacks and will cover the following subjects:
• Leaves of Absence (purchased within the deadlines)
• Optional Service
• Payment Options
Termination, Death and Disability Session
November 16
2:45 – 3:30 PM
Termination, Death and Disability and will cover the following subjects:
• Leaving the Plan (Fewer than Two Years of Membership)
• Two or More Years of Membership (Under Age 55, Age 55 or Older, On or After Your 65th Birthday)
• Death Before Retirement (Fewer than Two Years of Membership, Two or More Years of Membership, Pre-Retirement Death Waiver)
• Disability Pensions
