Registration open for fall courses, pension workshops & labour schools
AUPE’s education department is excited to announce that it is returning to in-person classes for some courses – and that registration is now open for members.

Fall 2022 courses
Some of our courses are returning to face-to-face instruction, including Introduction to Your Union, Introduction to OHS, Direct Action, and Foundations for Union Stewards.
We are also offering courses online: Introduction to Your Union, Introduction to OHS, Contract Interpretation, Basic Conflict Management, OHS for Union Stewards, Picket Captain Training, and EMAC/Labour-Management Committees.

Pension 2022 sessions
AUPE has partnered with Alberta Pension Services to offer a variety of pension sessions. Whether new to a pension or looking to retirement there are online sessions catered to meet your needs. Visit your AUPE website to learn more.
Labour School 2023
We invite active members who have taken courses with AUPE to apply for Advanced Labour School 2023.
The school runs March 5-9, 2023, at the Jasper Park Lodge. The focus for this school is “Solidarity is our Power,” looking at past solidarity actions that have built your union and encouraging each other to promote solidarity actions in the future. As workers you stand up for each other through action and inspire others to do the same.
Courses offered to assist with your growing solidarity are Advanced OHS, Continuing Education for Stewards, Creative Action, Leadership Essentials, and Talking Union. As this is an advanced school there are prerequisites to meet for the courses.
