Your negotiating team met with the employer on June 18 to continue bargaining.
Covenant Health was much more respectful and professional this time. They seem to have changed their approach since our last bargaining update.
We signed off on several articles where there are no changes. Your team also presented solutions to the big issues we identified in our bargaining survey. Covenant Health has yet to meaningfully address these issues and so, despite the more respectful tone at the table, we made little progress otherwise.
Rallies, wearing red, and next meeting dates
Our next bargaining meetings are scheduled for Sept. 16, 17, and 19.
But do not wait until September to keep wearing red and putting pressure on our employer! All the things we do matter, from wearing red to showing up at town halls and rallies.
Our employer knows that our unity, strength, and solidarity is the only thing that can force them to agree to the deal we deserve.
Bargaining rallies are being organized across the province all summer. If you would like to help organize a rally in your community, email [email protected]
You will also receive email invitations and updates about the rallies, just like you did for the town halls. If you do not receive email updates, please provide your contact information at www.aupe.org/update-info
Please contact a member of your negotiating team if you have any questions.
