Mark your calendar: Upcoming bargaining dates announced
Your negotiating team would like to thank members for taking the time to complete the bargaining survey. We reviewed the survey responses on Nov. 15 followed by a review of the collective agreement and proposal development on Jan. 24 and Feb. 27.
Next, we will be gearing up to meet with the employer on April 24 and May 8.
While this may seem like a long way away, there’s a lot of work that happens outside of the bargaining table.
The best way we can reach a fair collective agreement is by building worker power, unity and solidarity among our coworkers.
It’s important to stay connected and support your negotiating team by taking actions like registering or updating your contact information at aupe.org/myaupe to get the latest union updates.
You can also prepare for bargaining meetings by reaching out to your negotiating team (contact info below) to get involved as an AUPE worksite contact. This will increase our ability to communicate clearly and respond quickly!
Showing solidarity with your negotiating team on bargaining meeting dates, like wearing red, is also an excellent way to show your employer we’re all fighting for the same thing: better wages, working conditions, benefits and job security.
