AHS NC members reaffirm conditions required to extend bargaining delay
This week, AUPE President Guy Smith received a letter from Minister of Finance Travis Toews requesting that the union and Alberta Health Services (AHS) reconsider a suspension of bargaining until the end of March 2021.
Working with your bargaining committee, President Smith responded to Minister Toews outlining what you have identified as your requirements to accept this proposal.
These are the same conditions put forward by your bargaining committee last month when AHS made the same extension request, which were rejected.
We hope that the Minister sees these demands as reasonable and directs AHS to agree to them.
An update will be posted once we receive a response.
If you require any further information, please contact a member of your bargaining committee.
