AUPE president congratulates new cabinet members

EDMONTON – Alberta Union of Provincial Employees’ president Guy Smith congratulates Alberta’s six new cabinet ministers on their appointments announced today by Premier Notley.

Member update – Incident in Peace River

AUPE has been informed of an incident involving two correctional peace officers in Peace River.

This morning two officers were performing a routine medical transport of an inmate from the Peace River Correctional Centre. During the disembarking of the inmate, a masked man approached the officers and demanded the inmate be released.
