The Living Waters bargaining committee and representatives from Living Waters Catholic Schools will go back to the table on Monday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. in Whitecourt in hopes of ending this strike.
The parties, with the assistance of a mediator, will continue to work toward achieving a tentative agreement. This will be the third attempt to reach a fair deal since the beginning of this strike.
These AUPE members have been fighting for an agreement that will provide defined hours of work and a predictable work year, as well as wage increases that better reflect how important they are to their communities’ schools and their students.
These workers have shown tremendous strength throughout the strike: the dedication shown on the picket lines is truly inspiring and you have the full support of your fellow AUPE members as you continue to stand up for yourselves, the students, and your communities.
