Last month, your bargaining team met with the employer to begin negotiations for the renewal of our collective agreement. We exchanged our ingoing proposals and spent most of the time justifying our positions.
Some of the issues the employer addressed were:
• Sick leave eligibility
• Bereavement leave
• Disciplinary documentation
• Temporary appointments
Your bargaining team will continue to represent you at the table and ensure the issues you care about most are discussed.
Future bargaining dates have yet to be scheduled as the employer’s current negotiator is leaving the company. We’ll update you when we have more information.
