CONTRACT RATIFIED

Nursing care and support services members at Revera Churchill voted on Friday, Sept. 8 to ratify their new collective agreement.

The term of the agreement is from Jan. 1, 2017 until Dec. 31, 2019, with two percent increases effective Jan. 1 of each year of the contract. Retroactive pay for the first increase effective Jan. 1, 2017 will be paid out to all members employed as of the ratification date.

The contract brings in strengthened discrimination and harassment language, increases to the employer RRSP contribution, and raises premium rates for shift differentials and training shifts. A new article will also provide employer coverage of $200 toward registration fees for Licensed Practical Nurses.
