Your bargaining committee met with the employer for our first set of bargaining meetings on Sept. 7 and 8. We are pleased to report that a great deal of progress was made.
The majority of language issues were negotiated and signed off on. These include:
- Seniority will be from date of hire. This includes service with the previous employer, Beaumont Supportive Living.
- Addition of no harassment/no discrimination language.
- Formation of an Employee Management Advisory Committee (EMAC)
We have requested that the employer provide their monetary package at our next set of bargaining meetings, which are tentatively scheduled for Oct. 18, 19, and 21.
