Bargaining at a standstill

Your bargaining committee met with the employer on Nov. 22 and 23. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to come to an agreement.

We told the employer in our bargaining meetings we expect to receive the same total compensation and job security as other health care workers in the province. They pushed back on these items, and bargaining is now stalled.

What’s Next?
We will begin our Essential Services Agreement (ESA) negotiations shortly. An ESA determines the minimum number of staff and specific positions that need to keep working in the event of a strike or lockout.

In the meantime, we are holding an information meeting to discuss where we are at in bargaining:
Wednesday, Nov. 28
11 am – 4 pm (drop-in)
Lions Club
5008 50 Ave

This meeting is a chance to discuss our next steps together. Please drop by to ask questions and have your say. Your support is key at this important moment in the bargaining process.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact one of your bargaining team members. We’re here to support you.
