Bargaining Continues

After five days of negotiations, we have been able to make some progress relating to language at the bargaining table.

However, we are still far apart when it comes to our monetary proposals, and we were especially disappointed when the employer proposed rollbacks to your collective agreement when it comes to severance pay.

We will continue to discuss these issues when we return to the bargaining table for meetings on March 18, 21 and 22. We will also discuss outstanding monetary issues, along with job security language, which would also address contracting out. We are committed to fighting for the security of your jobs and preventing any bargaining unit work from being contracted out.

We will continue to provide you updates as our meetings continue. If you have any questions or comments in the meantime, please contact a member of your bargaining committee.
