The meeting was called to order at 9:10 a.m. by President MacLennan.

Some of the Committee reports were dealt with, however the main portion of the meeting dealt with the status of USWA, Local 9302 bargaining. Contingency plans are in place should a strike occur and the Provincial Executive will be advised. If near the scheduled Convention dates, Convention will be cancelled.

The Finance Committee and auditor provided a draft Audited Financial Statement. The final Audited Financial Statement will be completed and included with the Convention package mailout.

A motion to forgive the equivalent of one month's Rebate for the month of September, except those Locals who have already contributed to have the option, save and except for Local 010. This will be applied for the $400,000 fine levied against the Union.

The Executive Secretary-Treasurer advised that the Calgary Regional Office building had been sold. The present office has been leased for up to one year allowing for time to purchase or lease a suitable building.

A new Policy was adopted entitled 'Workplace Violence and Abuse Policy'.

The next meeting is scheduled prior to Convention being October 25, 2000.
