The meeting was called to order at 9:14 A.M in Edmonton, Alberta with President Knight in the Chair.

Regular reports by the President, Vice-Presidents and Committees were given.

A number of Motions were passed:
a) PE meetings for 2007 were scheduled;
b) Policy on Chapter Funding was amended;
c) Pension Committee to proceed with feasibility study soon;
d) 2 Pension Seminars will be held in 2007 (one in Calgary, one in Edmonton);
e) $10,000 was donated to the Palace Casino workers that are on strike, UFCW Local 401
f) T-shirts were purchased for the Anti-Privatization Committee
g) $25,000 was allotted for initial planning for renovations within Solidarity Place;
h) Policy amended re Definition of One Site Local;
i) Life membership to be awarded to Tim Falkiner at Convention 2007;
j) Policy 10-11 was amended re Policy on Confidentiality of Membership Lists;
k) Policy 10-2 was amended re Policy for Presentation of Membership Recognition Pins/Certificates;
l) AUPE to seek leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada re dues suspension for Health Care strike in 2002;
m) All effected health care units will proceed to commence a campaign and sign up members under Section 27.

The Standing Committees are to bring any Convention Resolutions not dealt with to the PE during the year.
