The Provincial Executive meeting was held on Saturday, April 20, 2002 in Red Deer, Alberta with President MacLennan in the Chair.

The 2003 Labour Education School is scheduled for March 14 - 20 in Jasper. It was recommended that in 2004 and in the future, the school be held in February or April if possible due to a conflict with members in education.

The Finance Committee recommended that $3000 be forwarded to the Occupational Health & Safety Committee to assist with the 25th Anniversary of the Joint/Union Government Health and Safety Program.

The Committee on Youth Mobilization has a survey on the website which they encourage younger members to take. As well, Locals are to recognzie their youth in their Locals for attendance at Convention.

The Legislative Committee recommended that the AUPE Constitution be placed on the website which has been done and as well, the Policy on organizing was amended.

A motion was made to move the September Provincial Executive meeting from Calgary to Grande Prairie. A cost analysis is to be prepared and discussed at the June meeting as to whether it is feasible.

The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2002 in Lethbridge, Alberta.
