The Provincial Executive meeting was held on Saturday, April 03, 2004 in Leduc, Alberta.

The President welcomed the new members of the Provincial Executive and observers in attendance.

A number of amendments and deletions were made to the AUPE Policies and Procedures.

The Membership Services’ Committee will review the policy regarding labour school, accommodations, etc. A survey will be done at the Jasper school and the results will be dealt with by the Committee.

An election was held for an interim Vice-President from the Provincial Executive. This position is to be held until Convention 2004 at which time an election will occur. Garnett Robinson, Local 006 is the new interim Vice-President.

The Membership Services Committee recommended a list of approved participants for discount purposes which will be presented in a discount pamphlet.

A Labour Education School Policy was adopted.

A motion was passed that the Young Activists Committee hold 5 seminars throughout the province over the next 12 month period.

The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, 2004 in Grande Prairie.
