About the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE)
The Provincial Executive
The Provincial Executive is made up of the Executive Committee and one elected member from each local, and is the governing body of the AUPE between conventions.
This committee, which many AUPE members call the PE, meets at least six times a year to conduct the business of the union.
One task of the Provincial Executive Committee is to assign volunteering
union members to standing AUPE committees. It's important that as many new
applicants as possible be encouraged to apply, as well as those who've sat
on committees in the past.
The Provincial Executive encourages interested members, who are active at
their worksites and in their Locals to
apply for standing committees; it's a great opportunity to become more involved
and increase your awareness of the union.

The Standing Committees
The AUPE currently has twelve (12) standing committees.
