Brett Donaldson

Brett Donaldson has been active in the union movement since before
he was elected as Edmonton Local President of the Letter Carriers Union
of Canada in 1979.
With the merger of the postal unions, Brett was
elected President of the Edmonton Local of the Canadian Union of Postal
Workers. Currently Brett provides services for
members employed at health-care facillities including Sturgeon
Hospital, Morinville, Leduc, Stony Plain, Evansburg, Devon and Youville
Home
– St. Albert, Entwhistle and Spruce Grove.
Since joining AUPE staff in 1990, Donaldson has worked principally
with the General Service — especially Local 002 and Local 006 — but
has provided service in virtually every area, including boards and
agencies, NAIT, Alberta Treasury Branches and the Alberta Research
Council.
In addition, Donaldson has presented appeals, conducted arbitrations,
and taught courses for AUPE. Born and raised in Saskatoon, he remains
a loyal fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He collects jazz CDs and
enjoys spending time with his family.
