Staff Biographies
Brett Donaldson
Membership Services Officer
Edmonton Headquarters

MSO Brett Donaldson has been active in the union movement since before he was elected as Edmonton Local President of the Letter Carriers Union of Canada in 1979.

With the merger of the postal unions, Brett was elected President of the Edmonton Local of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. Currently Brett provides services for members employed at health-care facillities including Sturgeon Hospital, Morinville, Leduc, Stony Plain, Evansburg, Devon and Youville Home – St. Albert, Entwhistle and Spruce Grove.

Since joining AUPE staff in 1990, Donaldson has worked principally with the General Service — especially Local 002 and Local 006 — but has provided service in virtually every area, including boards and agencies, NAIT, Alberta Treasury Branches and the Alberta Research Council.

In addition, Donaldson has presented appeals, conducted arbitrations, and taught courses for AUPE. Born and raised in Saskatoon, he remains a loyal fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He collects jazz CDs and enjoys spending time with his family.
