Dale Perry joined AUPE's staff in December of 2000 as a Membership Services Office in the Southern Regional Office. He was successful in a competition to become a Union Representative in October of 2002.

Before becoming a staff member, Perry worked for the Alberta Government Justice Department for 17 years as a correctional Office 1 - 3. As an AUPE member, Perry was very active, holding numerous elected positions including Vice Chair Local 3, Chapter Chair, Council Rep, Alternate P.E. and Convention Delegate. He also served on several committees such as Bargaining and the Provincial Legislative Committee. During his time as a member, Perry acted as a temporary Union Representative many times providing cover off for the staff in the Southern Regional Office and assisting on special projects.

Outside of work Perry keeps sane by being active in sports, playing slo-pitch at a Provincial and National level. During the winter he is an enthusiastic weight lifter spending many hour a week at the Fitness Club. As a hobby, Perry also runs a home-based sporting goods business.
