Dewey Funk joined AUPE in February 2004 as a Membership Services Officer in the Calgary Regional Office. He is responsible for serving members in the Government Sector and Alberta Treasury Branches in the Calgary Region.
Funk formerly worked for the United Steelworkers of America as a Union Organizer across Western Canada and the Territories for five years. He was a an active member in Local 5575 of the USWA, holding positions such as Treasurer, Recording Secretary and Vice President as well as being Local President for four years.
Funk attended the Labour College of Canada in 2000. He also sat as the Steelworker representative on the Labour Coalition for the past three years.
