Vice President byelection candidate submission deadline approaching
There will be elections for two new vice-presidents at the 2012 Convention, with both positions elected for a one-year interim term. Any member interested in placing a candidate statement in the pre-Convention issue of Direct Impact and on AUPE’s website must email their statement to AUPE by Aug. 24.
Candidates must provide a deposit of $100, to be received at AUPE headquarters by Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in order to place the statement. The cheque should be made out to AUPE. This money will be refunded upon their acceptance of nomination at Convention. Submissions not exceeding 500 words for Direct Impact and the website must be emailed to editor@aupe.org by Aug. 24.
