To date, 120 registrations have been confirmed with a maximum of 144 being accepted for the tourney, which will tee off at the River Ridge Golf & Country Club in Edmonton’s river valley.
“We’re now into the home stretch regarding planning and preparations,” said Scott Pattison, who with Sher Bourassa and Heather Yuhasz of AUPE’s staff is organizing the fund-raiser. “It’s all coming together nicely.”
A silent auction will be a primary fund-raising component of the tournament, with proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Auction items to be bid on this year include a trip for two to Phoenix; a hand-signed print from Oilers’ legend Paul Coffey; a hand-signed football by Edmonton Eskimos’ quarterback Ricky Ray; a Centro stainless steel barbecue; a Christmas-in-November package for two at Jasper Park Lodge; and an Edmonton Grand Prix package for two.
Primary door prizes include a $2,000 Plasma Flat Screen Television and a trip for two to Seattle with hotel and tickets to the Monday Night NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Oakland Raiders.
Participants will also have the opportunity to drive home in a 2006 Pontiac Torrent SUV if they score a hole in one on Hole No. 3.
Each participant will receive a goody bag, as well as an individual door prize.
Gold sponsors of the tournament include:
- The Personal Insurance Co.
- Johnson Inc./Morgex Insurance
Silver sponsors of the tournament include:
