Tentative agreement reached for Mackenzie County employees
After over nine months of bargaining, a tentative agreement was reached on Sept. 27 between Mackenzie County and Local 118/008. While we were scheduled for mediation, the agreement was reached without the assistance of a mediator.
Highlights of the 4-year tentative agreement include:
- A wage increase of 4 per cent in the first year, and 3.25 per cent in each of the remaining three years of the contract.
- A $1.50 market adjustment to the Equipment Operator (I and II) classification.
- A boot allowance increase to $200.
Your bargaining committee is recommending ratification of the tentative agreement.
The committee hopes to have ratification meetings in mid-October. Please watch your worksite for details.
