AUPE applies to Labour Board to restore collective agreement benefits and protections to AHS security employees
EDMONTON – The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees has filed an application with the Alberta Labour Relations Board in an effort to give Alberta Health Services’ “contracted” security employees the benefits and protection of the union’s collective agreement with Alberta Health Services.
Alberta Health Services partly reverses policy on rural hospital security
EDMONTON – The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees has been informed that Alberta Health Services has reconsidered its decision to withdraw all security from many rural hospitals.
AHS says it will now provide contracted security services at rural hospitals where AHS Protective Services officers were present in the past.
