Time off to volunteer during election — AUPE Convention policy
AUPE encourages all of its members to become politically involved. Now it’s a little easier.
Members who want to volunteer on a provincial election campaign can have up to two days’ wages covered by AUPE, subject to approval of the time off by their employer. Here’s how you can participate:
COPA Election Handbook now available
With a provincial election upon us, there’s never been a more important time for AUPE members get involved in the political process.
That’s why the Committee on Political Action has developed an election handbook entitled “What You Need To Know About The Alberta Provincial Election.” The 28-page booklet includes tips on how to get involved in a campaign, how to get straight answers from candidates and a survey of political party leaders on issues of importance to AUPE members.
