Support for CAW in Camrose
AUPE members in Camrose turned out to support members of Canadian Auto Workers Local 551 on May 8, after the CAW workers were locked out by their employer, Evraz. The employer locked out members after they rejected an inferior wage offer and company plans to end a defined benefit pension plan.
Camrose AC Christmas Party
Santa put in an appearance at the Camrose Area Council’s Christmas Party on Nov. 27. The jolly old elf distributed presents to the children as they decorated cookies and made Christmas crafts.
