Only a few spots remain for Aug. 26 AUPE Charity Golf Tournament
EDMONTON – Only a few spots remain for the AUPE Charity Golf Tournament, scheduled to place at Edmonton’s River Ridge Golf & Country Club starting at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 26.
Fewer than 20 spots remain in a field of 144 golfers who will tee off in a shotgun start in the second annual Texas Scramble golf tournament.
Gold sponsors of the tournament include:

Silver sponsors of the tournament include:
- Bell Mobility
- American Income Life
To date, 13 AUPE Locals and Chapters have also made contributions: Locals 003, 004, 009, 043, 044, 045, 046, 049, 054, 056, 060 and 118, and Chapter 044/006.
This year, tournament proceeds will go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in support of education and research.
Last year, a cheque for $9,100 was presented to the United Way from proceeds raised from the 2005 AUPE tournament.
The cost of participating in this year’s tournament is $110, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, an eight-ounce steak dinner, the opportunity to participate in a silent auction, raffles and to win hole-in-one prizes.

To pay by Master Card or Visa, fax the registration form to AUPE Headquarters, c/o Rene Shaw, at 780-930-3392 or 1-888-388-2873. Cheques or money orders should be made payable to AUPE, with Golf Tournament designated on the cheque.
A $25 administration fee will be deducted for cancellation requests made before Aug. 1, 2006. Refunds will not be honoured after Aug. 1. Refund requests will be facilitated following the Aug. 26, 2006 tournament.
Participants should be at the golf course for registration by noon of Aug. 26.
