November Green Card Contest winner will order something warm to wear

EDMONTON – An AUPE member employed by the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie is the November winner of the union’s Green Card Contest.

Krista Clark, who works in the hospital’s Pathology Department, filled out and sent in the AUPE green membership card, which is kept on file in AUPE’s Records Department.

“It’s extremely cold up here right now, so any warm AUPE clothing would be great,” said Clark, who like most other Alberta residents, woke up to Mother Nature’s chilly reception on Nov. 27, with temperatures plummeting to a frigid minus-33 degrees Celsius.

“I certainly could use some more warm clothing right about now,” she observed.

The AUPE promotion is being held to encourage members to fill out and return their green cards to the union’s records department. One winner will be selected each month from the group of returned green cards.

Each winner will receive a $100 gift certificate for AUPE clothing that can be redeemed in the union’s clothing store, which has been relocated to the third floor of AUPE’s Edmonton Headquarters.
