Upon completion of the award process, arrangements will be made to have the successful nominee receive the award at the 2010 Convention.
The Rolyn Sumlak award was commissioned by Local 012 in 1990, in recognition of Rolyn Sumlak’s untimely death on the job and activism in occupational health and safety. The award is presented to an AUPE member who has demonstrated significant activism in occupational health and safety at the work site.
