Monterey protest outside premier's constituency office

Posted October 04, 2012 in Health Care and tagged with lockout, monterey

Dozens of locked out Monterey Place workers and supporters protested outside Premier Alison Redford’s Calgary constituency office on the 100th day of the lockout. Their employer, Triple A Living Communities, is trying to force them to accept a contract that pays wages and benefits well below the industry standard, even though it receives government subsidies to pay nursing staff at the same level as AHS. AUPE is calling on the Redford government to stop looking the other way and start holding Triple A more accountable for the public money it receives.
